Howdy!
My name is Catie, and I am a student in my junior year at Texas A&M University.
I currently work with The Association of Former Students at Texas A&M in the Call Center. This gives me the opportunity to connect with alumni, update their information, network, and provide alumni with the ability to become a part of the Texas A&M Century Club Membership.
I am a Communication Major, and I am minoring in art with an emphasis on new media. I am developing skills such as graphic design, typography, and sketching which will hopefully help me in my future career.
When I graduate, I hope to work for an event planning company, and I have an internship lined up this summer with North Texas Volunteer Center to assist their event planning executive with organizing and detailing events. I also am very interested in non-profit organizations, and am currently working on starting a ministry called TruBeauty with two of my close friends. The skills that I am learning in my art classes, as well as the communication skills I have learned from my major, will be able to be used to help get this ministry going.
Hopefully, this blog, and learning how to navigate one, will help immensely with starting TruBeauty Ministries. The ability to post information and thoughts, share links to other sites, as well as post pictures and updates is a necessary tool for getting information out to the public quickly and efficiently.
